Fit4Life is a free weekly drop-in health and recreational program designed enhance our women’s access to culturally sensitive resources to support their physical and mental wellbeing.
About the Program
- Fit4Life offers in-person and virtual sessions and includes:
- Zumba
- Walking
- Yoga
- Dance sessions
- Educational workshops on health-related topics
- And much more
Please Note: IWS does not provide free assessments for academic enrollment in higher education institutions or for citizenship application
Who Can Participate?
- Newcomer women ages 18 and up
- Any residency status (Permanent Resident, Citizen, Visitor or Work Permit)
- All language levels welcome!

- Fit4Life is designed for women to enhance their physical and mental well-being. - You can join the Fit4Life program at any point after your arrival. Whether you’re a recent arrival or have been settling in for a few months, this program offers a flexible and supportive environment to start focusing on your health and well-being.
- If you are already a client of IWS, there’s no need to bring any additional documents; simply complete the form required for attending the program. However, if this is your first time receiving a service from IWS, please bring a valid form of identification or your immigration status document. These are necessary for your initial registration. After this step, you will be asked to fill out the forms specific to the program.
- During your appointment, you’ll meet with our staff who will introduce you to the program and its components.
- This is a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have and learn about the resources available to you.
- After your initial appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to continue attending the Fit4Life sessions every Friday morning.
- These sessions will include a mix of physical activities and discussions on health and well-being.
- You can expect to experience both in-person and virtual sessions, depending on your preference and safety considerations.
